Gig Guide - April
Some of the best gigs and events on K' Road this week.
The Audio Foundation is proud to present an Auckland event for Baliphonics in association with their 2018 New Zealand Tour. Baliphonics is a collaborative ensemble made up of Sri Lankan low-country Bali ritual artists and New Zealand musicians.
The music of Baliphonics draws upon the profound and ecstatic ritual music of Sri Lankan culture, including the Bali Ritual, an astrological healing ritual.
Baliphonics will be joined by master of keyboards Hermione Johnson, who will perform on the Auckland Unitarian Church's unique 1904 stereophonic pipe organ.
