Create Your Own Typeface
A beautiful typeface is what makes street art pop! Create your own typeface with Nick Baillie from Threaded Magazine and David Coventon, a typography enthusiast and Head of Brand at Auckland War Memorial Museum, who will take you from sketching, drawing letterform to create your own type. Nick and David will also be showing how to scan your design, using a software called Glyph to digitize your typeface. This event is sponsored By Splice.

The Street Loves Nana
Come a give stitching a go and make your mark as a street stitcher. Imagine a 12m fence - of street art; embroidered by a cast of hundreds, including you. The story of a street art project made over 2014 - 2015. Conceived and curated by Margaret Lewis: Champion of the handmade, an eye for the quirky, and crafter of stories told through making and collaboration. Her fashion design has won awards in both Cult Couture and Style Pasifika, her community projects have been part of First Thursday, Splore Festival, All Fresco Street Art Festival and displayed at Auckland Museum and as part of the Auckland Anniversary Weekend celebrations.
