Tāmaki Makaurau's White Night is a unique opportunity created by Auckland Arts Festival to see the city enlivened with a diverse range of arts activities. For one night only, an ever-changing roster of artists take over the city, bringing you a diverse range of art, music and theatrical events on and off the streets and in spaces and places you may not even know exist.
Inspired by Nuit Blanche (Paris's White Night), it's a time for gathering friends and family under the night sky and stroll through your local neighbourhood or the city centre to engage with well-known artists and artistic newbies.
Join us from 6pm – midnight on Sat 18 March for a night of art K' Road-style. From Pacific art, to emerging art to the work of local and international artisans, art in all its forms will be on display as K' Road's galleries and studio spaces join in celebrating Auckland Art Festival's White Night.
White Night K' Road highlights include roving performances by glow-suit dance troupe Vospetron and the Mary Jane O'Reilly White Knights Marching Girls, a cycle-through by The White Face Crew, a display by Unitec Bachelor of Creative Enterprise students at Cross St Arcade, guided gallery tours and a Fafswag Ball courtesy of Artspace.
