K Road's location, history and people make it the hub of Auckland City. As inspiration to, and meeting place of, many of Auckland's most creatively brilliant people K Road has organically become an events centre. Events are arranged for and by people ranging from musicians, artists, film makers, cultural groups and spiritual groups.
 
The K Road Business Association has always striven to encourage the colourful character of K Road and has been the propelling force behind the following organised chaos:
 
 
 

VIEW PACIFIC LIVING ROOMS

Maree Koroitamana and Fale Paeu are two young Pacific designers exhibiting Pacific Living Rooms of the Pacifica month.  Fale’s installation is near the corner of K Road and Symonds Street.  Maree's room, Pacific with a twist of lime is in St Kevin's Arcade, 178 K Road.

PECHA KUCHA

7.30pm, Tues, 29 April, Samoa House

A Pecha Kucha night is an event in which presenters speak to their slideshow of 20 images, each of which is shown for 20 seconds — total time of 6 minutes 40 seconds. Each event usually has 8 - 14 presenters. Presenters are sought to speak on Pacific topics for this venue ... APPLY
