| Visit St Kevins Arcade and get tangled in the Tango; find your Latin pulse. Feel the melancholy and mystery, in yet another inspirational event from the K Road Business Association’s Arts Programme. The free tango lessons which began two years ago have attracted very happy groups of 20 to 60 dancers along with a number of spectators. |
Leading New Zealand tango dancers and choreographers, husband and wife team, Cecilia and Nigel Bale, take the classes giving attendees the benefit of their many years of dance experience. Having both trained under Argentinian tango masters and performed at major Latino events throughout the country, the pair have been instrumental in helping establish the tango dance culture in New Zealand. |
| They will be passing on their love of this passion-filled dance form weekly at 6pm from Thursday 16 October through to Thursday 13 November. The classes attract a wide range of dancers from total beginners to very experienced and are both serious and hilarious! |
